  • Today there is one simple thing to do!----FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS---
    1. Send Mrs. Bearden a formal email---Tell her something that you are looking forward to in the next 3 weeks!  Share Christmas plans or what you hope to get for Christmas this year?  Make sure you have good spelling and  complete sentences before you send this!
    2. SUBJECT:  Merry Christmas    Email: beardenp@fultonpirates.net
    3. SEND IT---and that's it!  Have a great Christmas break!!
    4. IF YOU ARE MISSING ANY WORK, today is a good day to work!  As always, email Mrs. Bearden about anything you working on and submitting! It would be a great gift to yourself and your family to have a passing grade in English!

    2. Email Mrs. Bearden today:  We have finished, Flowers for Algernon, give your thoughts.  Is it a story you are enjoyed or one you think Mrs. Bearden should remove from the curriculum.  Give your reasoning either way.
    3.  Moby Time--15 minutes from everyone ----Easy A--just put your time in today!
    4. Flowers for Algernon --If you need it for completing questions or any missing work!

    1. Flowers for Algernon- Finish today (Starting on top of page 57 JUNE 4  Audio:13:30- End)
    2. Send Mrs. Bearden an Email today letting her know you have finished the reading.  This email will also be your virtual attendance today!
    3. Check PowerSchool and make sure both sets of Flowers for Algernon Questions have been graded and you have received credit for them.  If not, submit whatever is missing today!!

    1. "November/December Vocab Document"--Add the word "nomadic" define it and add a picture!
    2. Continue Reading Flowers for Algernon---Begin reading and listening to Part 2 (page 51-56  End with May 31st entry-- audio 0:00-13:30)
    3. Make sure your Flowers for Algernon Questions 11-20 are completed from yesterday.  Double Check for complete sentences ---Run Grammarly on them!!
    4. Email and Submit your Questions to Mrs. Bearden today---this will be your attendance too!!

    2. TYPE TODAY's DATE
    3. RESPOND TO THIS:  Tell me about your 7th-grade experience up to this point.  Highlight things that have gone well, talk about things that have been stressful, and even things you are working on improving!  This isn't just about English, but all your classes.(5 Sentences for today's Entry)
    4. Keep adding to your November  Vocab Document --add the word "mellow"  --define and add a picture!  
    5. Flowers for Algernon--PART 1 Study Guide Questions--you are responsible for answering Questions11-20 today!! (I have pasted a copy of the questions below too!)  Put them on a brand new document.  You may work with a partner--but you both must have your own document!  Save your work!  Look up answers in the PDF Part 1 if you need to refer back to the reading from last week!  We will move on to Part 2 tomorrow!
    6. Send Mrs. Bearden an email today letting her know about your progress on these questions and if you opted to work with others!

      5. FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON--- You will access this link just like yesterday   --but you are looking for the STUDY GUIDE TODAY!!  ---You will want to be able to SEE the PDF to look up answers!--So again today use 2 DIFFERENT TABS --so you can see the questions and look at the story!

      4. Open your November Vocab document  --add "Epic" to your list--define it and add a picture!
      5. MOBY TIME--Today you are going to look for -Paired Reading Stories---You will read one more story today!!  Take your time---go back into the reading and look up the answers!  Do your best---it is a longer story and is based on a 7th Grade Reading level!  You will get a grade based on your final score!  Go slow, take your time----

      6. Send an email to Mrs. Bearden when you finish your MOBY STORY TODAY and share with her your thoughts on this reading activity.  How did you do today?  Did you try something different from your last story?  ---  (THIS WILL BE ONE EMAIL TODAY FOR ATTENDANCE AND YOUR FEEDBACK)!!

      5. MOBY TIME--Put in 15 minutes!--Easy A--15 points for 15 minutes!  Make sure you do it TODAY!!

      2. 1918-1919 Flu Pandemic--look at this info before watching the movie!  This will help you understand the movie a little better.  Compare it to what you know about our current Pandemic too!
      3. An O'Henry Classic--"The Last Leaf"--Watch this
      4. Send Mrs. Bearden an email after watching it.  In that email explain to her if it is ever OK to lie. Explain your reasoning based on the movie!  (This will work for attendance too!--ONE EMAIL ONLY!)

      4. Respond to this prompt:   Complaint day---Rant---Make sure you have 2 complete sentences, but it is ok if you want to have more today!!
      5. Pick up a "NOTES AND NEWS" Sheet from the front of the room.
      6. Your job today is to retype the information as you see it on the paper.
      7. Turn the paper over and follow the directions for making corrections to the document.

      1. Print your October Vocab Document---Make sure you have MLA format for your name and general class information in the upper left corner as you were shown yesterday.
      2. Journal Entries:  You will be submitting October 1st- October 30th Journal Entries today!  Please look over your entries.  
        • All stand alone letter "I's" are capital?
        • You have a minimum of 2 good sentences? 
        • All sentences begin with a capital and end with some sort of ending punctuation?
        • Have you used a conjunction (and, but, or)?  What about because, however?  Do you have a comma in front of any of those words?  Should you?
        • Each entry has a date?
        If your journal entries have been proofed and they look good you are almost ready to print.  Make sure you have your name typed above the October 1st Entry!  Print them--staple them---turn them in

      3. MOBY TIME--Language Skills--you are working to have 100% of your K-5 skills completed by the end of November!   EVERYONE WILL PUT IN 15 Minutes today!!
