MOBY TIME---Language Time---We are working to get K-3 Skills filled in this week!  Our goal is to have 100% of those 3rd grade levels at 100% by TODAY!  You will need to look at your progress totals before you start--and after you work for a bit---can you see personal improvement?  Mrs. Bearden has been meeting with all of you on your progress throughout the week!  Grades will be given on Monday morning!-- You will get 5pts for each grade level you are at 100%. (Total of 20 points for this skill builder activity we have worked on all week!)
  2. Any Remaining time you have --Please use it to work on your "ALL ABOUT ME" Project---These presentations need to be polished writing and ready to present! If you have time add transitions and check background and font colors to make sure they will look good when you present!
  3. 2 Volunteers to Present today--Presentations have been sent!

  1. NWEA--Finish up Reading Test today!
  2. MOBY TIME---Language Time---We are working to get K-3 Skills filled in this week!  Our goal is to have 100% of those 3 grade levels at 100% by FRIDAY!  You will need to look at your progress totals before you start--and after you work for a bit---can you see personal improvement?  Mrs. Bearden will be meeting with all of you on your progress throughout the week!  Grades will be given on Monday morning!-- You will get 5pts for each grade level you are at 100%.  You will not receive any points for grades that are less than 100%! (Total of 20 points for this skill builder activity we have worked on all week!)

  2. RESPOND TO THIS:  Tell about your 7th Grade English experience so far.  What things do you like and what suggestions do you have for improving it in the future? How is what you're doing this year like previous years and how is it different?  
  3. Open Vocab Document---Add "Cache"---define in your own words and add a picture!
  4. MOBY TIME---Language Time (Everyone will put in 10 minutes of time today)---We are working to get K-3 Skills filled in this week!  Our goal is to have 100% of those grade levels at 100% by Friday!  You will need to look at your progress totals before you start--and after you work for a bit---can you see personal improvement?  Mrs. Bearden will be meeting with all of you on your progress throughout the week!  Grades will be earned for work completed by the end of your English Class on Friday!
  5. 3 Volunteers to present "ALL ABOUT ME" presentations tomorrow---If you are presenting--please share or send your presentation to Mrs. Bearden (beardenp@fultonpirates.net)

  4. RESPOND TO THIS:  What would you do if you could travel free anyplace in the world? Where would you go? What would you want to see and do?
  5. MOBY TIME---Language Time---We are working to get K-3 Skills filled in by the end of the week!  Our goal is to have 100% of those 3rd  grade levels at 100% by  Friday!  You will need to look at your progress totals before you start--and after you work for a bit---can you see personal improvement?  Mrs. Bearden will be meeting with all of you on your progress this week!
  6. Pair up with the person who evaluated your presentation.  Discuss changes and improvements to your presentations.  Switch places --
  7. Any Remaining time you have --Please use it to work on your "ALL ABOUT ME" Project---These presentations need to be polished writing and ready to present on Wednesday!
  8. If you have 100% of your MOBY Skills K-2 completed and your presentation is DONE---Make a practice run at presenting it to a friend!  You may also work on something for another class!

  3. Respond to this prompt:  Your thoughts about 7th Grade so far...2 things you are enjoying, and at least one thing you would like to change!
  4. Open your Vocab Document
  5. Today's Word---"braggart"--  remember to define it in your words and find a picture!
  6. Complete YOUR "ALL ABOUT ME POWER POINT"---
  7. MOBY TIME--Language Skills--you are working to have 100% of your K-2 skills completed by Today!  Keep working on this! Some of you will need to work over the weekend to help make this happen!

  2. Open your Google Doc and access your "Journal Entries"
  3. Enter Today's Date---Respond to the following thoughts and ideas:
  4. Today I want you to tell me about the book your were reading --perhaps you have just gotten started--you can tell me why you chose it--what looked good about it--or if you have been reading it for a while---tell me about it!
  5. Open your "Vocab" document-- Today's word is "berserk"--define it in your own words and find a picture that you feel would represent it well
  6. LOG INTO MOBY ACCOUNT--spend 10 minutes working on Language skills again today!
  7. Use remaining part of hour to work on your  "All about ME" presentation!---You need to switch places with another person in class today! 
  8. Pick up an Index Card at the front of the room--put your name on it---  Then Fill in the following pieces of information
  9. "I AM CHECKING _____________________'s presentation
  10.  Please check for ... and answer the following questions about their presentation
  • How many slides do they have complete?
  • Bullets/Grocery List (first word is capitalized)--on every slide?
  • All Slides have a background or color?  Which ones need improved?
  • Every slide has a picture on it?  Which ones still need fixed or tweaked?
*The paper is your ticket out the door at the end of class!

  5. LOG INTO MOBY ACCOUNT--spend 10 minutes today working on Language skills!  (finish test first--then put in 10 minutes)
  6. Use remaining part of hour to work on your  "All about ME" presentation!--you may want to start to partner up and ask a friend to view your slides with you--checking for simple "lists" and spelling--basic overall "looks" of it!
  7. If you have work for another class, today would be a good day to use your time wisely!

  4. Make Vocab "table" together using New Google Doc--Save as "Your Last Name"  September Vocab Sheet--First Word "DO" (This has been created for you---See Classroom materials in Google Classroom or link above)
  5.  Today----add the word "abound"--add your definition and picture--You might need to look up a formal definition and then turn it into your own words!(Hint Hint)!!
  6. Introduce "ALL ABOUT ME" Presentation

  2. Classroom Expectations--Course Syllabus
  3. Open a Google Doc--Title it "NAME's First Day of 7th Grade"
  4. Type your Name, Class Name, and Date in the upper left corner
  5. Space down 2 times
  6. Type one complete sentence in response to this: "As a 7th Grader, I am most excited or worried about...."
  7. Space down 2 more times--when you have completed your sentence.
  8. Please construct a paragraph telling me about yourself.
  9. Share your document before leaving today!
  10. Use any remaining time and find something quietly to do!
